Degree parchments
A copy of your bachelor's and Master's degree parchment(s) must be submitted to the university. It is your responsibility to provide a certified English translation of the degree parchment if the original is in another language.
A degree parchment is the document issued to you at your convocation ceremony.
Degree parchments must show a degree conferral date.
In lieu of the degree parchment, applicants may submit an official letter from their institution and/or an official transcript listing the conferral/graduation date.
Once your application is received by our office, you will be sent a link to the Applicant Portal, where you will upload your parchment.
If you've graduated from Ontario Tech University, you are not required to submit a copy of your Ontario Tech parchment and your Applicant Portal checklist will automatically be updated.
Provisional degree certificates are not considered final and are not accepted. Do not upload a copy of your provisional degree. We will proceed to assess your file will all other supporting documents.
International applicants who have been offered admission and do not yet have their final parchment conferred may still apply for their study permit and visa using their conditional offer of admission letter. If the applicant’s study permit and visa are approved, they may be permitted to begin classes with a conditional offer. For more information, contact the International office at iss@ontariotechu.ca. Please note that a registration hold will be placed on the applicant's account until the conferred degree copy is received and the condition has been cleared.
